We are Atlanta’s public school system. Our legacy has relied upon, and our future will continue to require, a supportive Atlanta community.

Former Superintendent, Dr. Alonzo Crim, coined the phrase, “Community of Believers.” Being a community of believers meant that civic, philanthropic, and educational leaders, parents, and all Atlantans must be engaged in preparing our children for success.

Our team is here to help align the strategic needs of our students and schools with partners throughout the city.

     We work with:

    • The District to proactively create and engage long-standing strategic relationships for APS.
    • Schools to serve students and staff by equitably distributing and maximizing partnerships and resources to them.
    • Departments to act as thought partners for accessing resources and making connections to further their work and offset general funds.

    Formalizing Your Partnership with APS

Organizations wishing to establish a formal partnership with an Atlanta Public Schools (APS) site must complete a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The MOU outlines the scope of services, roles, and responsibilities to ensure a shared commitment to student success and alignment with district goals.

To guide you through this process, we’ve provided an MOU FAQ and Procedures document linked below. This resource outlines step-by-step instructions, required documentation, and important timelines.

If you are ready to begin the MOU process, please ensure your organization has submitted a Partnership Interest Form first. A team member will reach out within 48–72 hours to support you through the next steps.
