Atlanta Public Schools Teachers to Showcase Innovative Instructional Practices, Today
The 50 teachers recently completed a Ed Farm Teacher Fellows Program to become Apple Certified
ATLANTA – Atlanta Public Schools and Ed Farm, a tech and education nonprofit startup, will host a Celebration of Learning at 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at the APS Instructional Service Center (ISC) to recognize the accomplishments of the first cohort of Teacher Fellows.
The Teacher Fellows Program is part of an on-going collaborative partnership between APS and Ed Farm to bring transformative and future-focused learning experiences to students, teachers, and community members in the city of Atlanta. This partnership began with 50 educators across the district.
In order to earn their Ed Farm Teacher Fellow Certification, they had to complete 60 hours of professional development, eight hours of 1:1 innovation coaching cycles, and earn their Apple Teacher Certifications in iPad, MacBook, and Swift Coding, as well as design six high-quality Learning Experience Designs.
On Thursday, these educators will highlight their learning and skills gained throughout the Fellowship and be recognized for their accomplishments during a Certification Ceremony. During the event, these Teacher Fellows will highlight their learning and skills gained throughout the Fellowship, and be recognized for their accomplishments.
WHAT: Fifty (50) APS teachers will showcase innovative, technology-based instructional skills they developed while completing the Ed Farm Teacher Fellows Program.

About Ed Farm
Ed Farm is a tech and education startup nonprofit headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama. It launched in February 2020 with founding support from Apple and Alabama Power Company. Ed Farm creates programs designed to engage students, educators, and adult learners in innovative digital skills experiences that better prepare them for the 21st-century workforce. Learning program offerings include Teacher Fellows, Student Fellows, Code Clubs, and Ed Farm Spaces.
The Teacher Fellows Program is designed to equip educators with tools, skills, and strategies specifically related to the integration of technology in both the virtual and physical classroom. Our approach includes innovative professional learning sessions, coaching cycles, and intensive 1:1 school-based and teacher support. The program is designed to enhance the learning experience of teachers and equip them to be designers and facilitators of future-focused learning.
