(Saturday, August 17 | 10 AM - 3 PM) APS, Fulton County DA’s Office to Host Violence Prevention Summit

 

 

ATLANTA – Atlanta Public Schools and the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office are partnering on an event to help promote safety and security in the community.

 

The Peace & Prevention Community Violence Prevention Summit will take place Saturday at Frederick Douglass High School, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Attendees are encouraged to preregister for the event as space will be limited. Lunch will be provided. 

 

The Summit which will feature opportunities to interact with local elected officials and to learn about legal statutes pertaining to juveniles. Additionally, there will be breakout sessions and vendors with information, programs and resources addressing gang activity prevention, human trafficking, and other issues that oftentimes lead to violent outcomes.
