APS Partners with Non-Partisan Organization ‘When We All Vote’
for the APS Good Trouble Voter Campaign
ATLANTA –Atlanta Public Schools has partnered with When We All Vote for the APS Good Trouble Voter Campaign, which aims to educate and inspire APS students and families about the importance of voting.
The initiative honors the late Congressman and Civil Rights leader John Lewis, who once said: “Never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble."
When We All Vote is a non-profit and non-partisan organization on a mission to increase participation in every election and close the race and age voting gap by changing the culture around voting. More than 11,000 students and educators are engaged with When We All Vote across the country, and they will provide APS high school student ambassadors with tools and resources to lead voting efforts in social studies classes at their respective schools and throughout their communities.
Board Chair Jason Esteves and APS Superintendent Dr. Lisa Herring will officially launch the APS Good Trouble Voter Campaign in conjunction with National Voter Registration Day on Sept. 22. The campaign will continue through Election Day.
