Typography

  • Typography plays a crucial role in shaping the perception of any written material, significantly impacting readability, user engagement, and overall communication effectiveness. The font choice influences how information is consumed; for instance, clean and modern fonts like Helvetica Neue and Montserrat convey professionalism and clarity.

Atlanta Public Schools has two primary fonts: Montserrat and Helvetica Neue, with preference always given to Montserrat. If your system is not loaded with these fonts, acceptable alternatives are Arial or Calibri in place of Montserrat.

The district website uses Montserrat Regular, which is available from Google Fonts under an Open Font License.
