    On September 5, join Grady High School principal Betsy Bockman, Inman Middle principal Kevin Maxwell and all of the Grady Cluster elementary and K-8 principals to hear about their schools' achievements, challenges and goals for the new school year. Principals will also discuss how they work collaboratively to provide a continuum of high-quality K-12 education for the 6,500 students their schools serve.

  • Millage Rates

    (UPDATE – July 21, 2018)  Atlanta Public Schools (APS) will hold its third public hearing on the proposed millage rate on Monday, July 23 as scheduled, but will add an additional public hearing on Monday, August 6 at 6:30 p.m. to allow citizens an opportunity to express their opinions on the district’s proposed tax rates. Both hearings are being held at the Atlanta Public Schools Center for Learning and Leadership (CLL) at 130 Trinity Avenue SW. The Atlanta Board of Education will postpone its vote on the millage rate until its August 6th Board Meeting.

  • 2018/18 Grady Spring Semester Accomplishments

    GHS Spring Semester student accomplishments, which captured some of the same Senior stats:

    60 Grady Seniors accepted to the University of Georgia
    20 Seniors accepted to Georgia Tech (44% acceptance rate; double Tech’s 2018 rate)
    85 earned the Zell Miller Scholarship
    93 earned the Hope Scholarship
    70 earned the Achieve Atlanta Scholarship
    128 Seniors in National Honor Society
    $17.8 million in total awarded Scholarships to the 2018 Senior Class

    Grady Speech & Debate won their 9th straight State Champion at the Georgia Forensics State Championships.

    Grady G3 Robotics won the State Championship and were Division Champs at the FIRST Championship in Houston (finishing top 2% in the World)

    The Southerner newspaper and Nexus magazine were named Silver Crown winners by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association. The Southerner won the General Excellence and All-Georgia award from the Georgia Scholastic Press Association, recording a perfect score in its critique! Nexus and thesoutherneronline.com received Superior ratings from the GSPA.

    Grady Mock Trial won the region championship for the 20th year in a row.

    GHS Orchestra received a Superior rating at the Large Ensemble Music Festival

    Grady’s 2018 “Une Belle Revolution” Fashion Show showcased one of the few comprehensive high school fashion programs in the country

    Grady advanced to the International DECA Competition

    GHS’s National Art Honor Society team took 2nd in State at the NAHS Conference

    GHS students put on the annual Grady Art Compendium Exhibition May 8th at Notch 8 Gallery

    Grady Voice: Advanced Women and Grady Voices MT2, received SUPERIOR ratings from the Georgia Music Educators Association. GHS’s Intermediate & Beginning chorus groups received all EXCELLENT ratings.

    Four Grady Voice members named 2018 All-State Chorus.

    Grady Drama put on multiple sold out performances of South Pacific and Working, plus evening Coffeehouse and Senior One Act plays and Grady Film Festival this semester

    GHS SPRING ATHLETICS:
    • Grady Ultimate won the State and National Championship
    • GHS boys & girls swim teams won APS Swimming Championship
    • Boys track won the Region Championship for the 4th year in a row
    • Boys soccer advanced to the State quarterfinals; ranked #6 in State
    • Girls soccer advanced to the 2nd round of State; #10 State ranking 
    • GHS boys and girls tennis teams both advanced in the State playoffs
