• Attention MES Teachers, Staff, and Students!

Do you have an innovative idea to enhance learning at MES and need some funding to bring your project to life? The PTA can help.

Each year, the PTA allocates money for its Grants Program. The PTA Grants Committee exists to award funding to a variety of requests generated by teachers, staff, students, and parents that enrich the learning environment. The committee recognizes the value of innovation, sustainability, education, and culture, among others, and encourages the MES community to apply to fund requests that broaden learning in these and other areas.

    Evaluation Criteria:

The Grants Committee will evaluate requests based on the following:

    • What is the benefit to the MES community?
    • Who benefits and how?
    • Is the request for something innovative?
    • Is the request realistic and feasible?
    • Can the request by executed well?
    • Is the application legible and complete? Detailed budget included?

Ideas that have been funded in the past include:

    • Hydroponic garden towers
    • Recess/athletic equipment
    • Classroom seating
    • Art therapy supplies
    • Podcast equipment
    • The Board Game Club
    • A time capsule
    • Plant sale supplies

Please note that technology device requests will be referred to Brian Baron and/or the MES Foundation.

We will review applications on a rolling basis, funding grants until we exhaust the budget. Once an application is received online, the committee will review and contact you for a Zoom or in-person meeting to hear more about your idea.

If you have any questions about the grant program, please contact Matt Fox, the PTA Grants Chair for the 2023-2024 school year.
